Fitness, nutrition and encouraging others have been a passion of mine for most of my life. "It can be done" and "never give up" are quotes imbedded into how I live my life. To be a success, and live my best life requires a healthy body. So, I've decided to take what I've learnt and still learning, and share it with you with the intent to encourage, motivate, and challenge you to realize your potential and ability to take action to achieve your fitness goals and improve the quality of your life.

My journey took me from nursing a poor self-image to an improved self-confidence. By changing the way I think I discovered the 123 steps to empower my mind, clean up my eating habits, which moved me into action - to a fitter, healthier me. Applying these steps has surpassed my fitness and lifestyle goals. I am no different than you and I can relate. I know what it's like to struggle with low self-esteem; I know what it's like to live with thoughts of frustration, failure and disappointment after attempting every new diet on the market without success. I've been there, but no more.

I realized finally that diets don't work; it has to be about a lifestyle change with compelling reasons in place. In my mid 20's I began to pursue and educate myself with everything that pertained to fitness and nutrition.

During that time I used the knowledge gained to become healthier, but still struggled to lose that last 15 lbs of fat. I tried a number of diets, but the results were short lived. Three years ago I realized that though exercising and healthy eating are important components to a healthy lifestyle, there was still a missing piece.

I found out that missing piece to be the mind - therein began my journey to not just rid my body of the last 15lbs of fat, but acquired a healthier mind as well. Within 6 months my body changed because my mind was in gear (in ready mode).

I made the decision to do things differently because I was seeking permanent results that would go beyond a body makeover, and I got it. I became my own test kitchen and the result was a mind, nutrition and body transformation. Today, I'm living my best life and I am still making strides - defying the odds that say without diet pills and quick expensive fixes, you can't reach your fitness goals. Within six months I had moved from a size 10 to a 4 and dropped 9% of my Body Fat, and reduced my waistline by 4 inches. The results kept me motivated; I was empowered and encouraged by the physical/external changes as a result of first making a mindset/internal change.

I have over 10 years of book, street, and life experiences in this area that I have tested, applied, and have been proven to work in my life and with my clients.

I am a Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT) through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), and currently pursuing my certification as a Specialist in Performance Nutrition (SPN) with them. Though I am not a registered dietician; I do however have a solid back ground in nutrition.

I'm here to listen, encourage, challenge, and provide you with the support and equip you with the tools necessary to empower your mind, make changes to your nutritional plan, and transform your body in the process, and ultimately improve the quality of your life. Making healthy choices by changing how we think, with food choices, and in physical fitness is an investment that we can't afford not to do - it is by far the best investment we could ever make for our lives.
